Arçelik Washing Machine

Concept of a two drum domestic washing machine.
The two drums enable simultaneous washings of white and color or using one drum for a small wash, to save time, energy and water.
Based on feedback from people in several continents, this concept was developed as part of a large innovation program for future domestic laundry washing, addressing home laundry in the widest scope. Designed while at IDEO ISRAEL INNOVATION.

Lumenis Elora

The device uses light - based technology for various skin treatments. It is designed to fit into the compact environment of the clinics, and acts as a versatile independent unit containing all the necessary accessories for the treatments. A special effort was made to avoid the black box high tech appearance, while accentuating its friendly character. Honorable mention in I.D. magazine.

OTM V Pen

The challenge with the V-pen was to design an iconic product for a new mobile category. Based on OTM sensor technology we developed a compact enclosure addressing complex electronic and unique ergonomic issues, while maintaining the qualities of a classic fountain pen. The aim of this project was to develop an initial idea, as presented by the client into a realistic vision. Based on research of the current olive oil market and extraction methods, we developed a conceptual design for a do-it-yourself olive oil machine, addressing usability as well as mechanical issues. Holon Municipality Recreation Garden

This recreational park was inspired by a children’s book, “The absent-Minded Guy from Kfar Azar” by Leah Goldberg, depicts a protagonist who lived in an imaginary, topsy-turvy, world. ‘in the morning he wakes, sits up in his bed, and asks: Did I just sleep, or perchance did I simply rise from laying down? That which rises in my window, is it the Sun or Moon perhaps?’ (free translation) In keeping with this theme, the individual elements were designed to challenge our perception of logic, time and language whilst creating new functionality. The pavement becomes grass – and the grass pavement, the sign “Keep of the Pavement !!!” greets on comers. The objects, which are based on the typical park bench as a central motif, are transformed and mixed to create new entities “bench-slide”, “lamp-bench” etc. One of the challenges faced in this project was the high vandalism rate, thus the structures are made of coated welded Aluminum sheets. All of the elements were designed under rigid safety standards and regulations. Designed while at I2D.

The challenge was to create a clear visual identity for a complex and pioneering product. We tried to establish a subtle balance between a desirable hi-tech object and a sophisticated medical product. The client is a world-leading vendor specializing in remote medical analysis. This product’s aim is to establish a simple and direct connection and data transfer between users and Medical Centers (usually between Doctors and Patients after a heart attack). Designed while at I2D.

OnePath Communication Hub

OnePath Networks provides convergence technology of data and video. The system includes multiple components starting from 19" racks, in the central office, through hubs, placed in the residence area, and up to a wall connector in the home. For one path we developed a comprehensive design language, That was carried through all the different products, to achieve a consistent family appearance and enhance brand identity. The challenge was to design advanced high tech equipment, using the most sophisticated digital technologies, with an analog, familiar and almost nostalgic look. Contemporary electric guitar players’ wet dream is still a 1950’s Fender Stratocaster. How do you match ground breaking sound technologies with a product that has to emanate the Americana spirit and avoid romantic clichés?
